The MRF Genius Legacy is crafted from premium Grade 1 performance English willow, hand-selected for a clean face and typically 7 or more straight grains. It carries a full profile with a duck-bill swell sitting mid-to-low on the blade, concentrating the sweet spot where most club and representative-level batters make contact.

Thick edges of roughly 38-40mm and a pronounced spine add power without pushing the bat's overall weight far past 1.15kg in Short Handle, and a round Singapore cane handle keeps the pick-up controlled through the shot. It's part of the same Genius family as MRF's Prince and Majestic models, associated with contracted MRF players including Shubman Gill.

As with all raw English willow, the Legacy needs a proper knock-in — a full manual mallet session followed by graduated throw-downs — to compress the fibres and guard the edges before facing a new ball. Comes finished and ready for oiling and preparation.
